Accessibility

Accessibility is treated as part of the build, not an afterthought. This website aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.

What is in place

  • Full keyboard operation, including the navigation, accordions and forms
  • A visible focus outline on every interactive element
  • A skip link to the main content on every page
  • Semantic headings in a logical order, and landmark regions
  • Form fields with real labels, and error messages announced to screen readers
  • Accordions built with correct expanded and controls states
  • Descriptive alternative text on portfolio and demo imagery
  • Colour contrast checked against the dark background palette
  • Status never communicated by colour alone — errors also carry text
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones
  • Motion reduced automatically when your device requests reduced motion

Known limits

This is an independent practice, not a certified audit body. No formal third-party audit or certification has been carried out, and none is claimed. The concept demonstrations are built to the same standard, but they are illustrative pages and may contain rough edges.

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this website is difficult to use, email joshpengelly25@icloud.com with the page and what happened. Reports are welcome and are acted on as quickly as possible.
